First Doctor Visit and Week 9

Today James and I went to the doctor's office for our first prenatal visit! It was definitely different than we expected! We waited for about 30 minutes to get called back, had my weight, height, blood pressure all measured. Then went into an office with the nurse, Alexis. She had us complete some paperwork and told us a bit about genetic testing and cystic fibrosis testing. Then she filled out the lab test request paperwork and sent us over to the lab. We didn't meet with a doctor at all (sad face). I was hoping to meet with one of the doctors since it was our first visit to this office! But Alexis was very nice and said we would be able to meet with one of the doctors at our next visit (the initial ultrasound)!

At the lab, we waited 45 more minutes to be called back to do the full prenatal blood work and urinalysis. So much fun getting five tubes of blood drawn and peeing in a cup! I'm sure this will only be the first time of many though!
